Rental Cancellation Policy
RENTAL CANCELLATION & FLEXIBILITY POLICY
We want you to feel completely confident when you rent with Style Rotate, so please read through this policy carefully to understand your options. If you need to cancel, let us know as soon as possible via WhatsApp on 079 393 4213.
Cancelling 5 or more working days before your rental start date
If you cancel at least 5 working days before your rental start date, you may choose one of the following:
- Reschedule your rental to a future date
- Receive a gift card for the full value of your rental (valid for 2 years)
- Receive a full refund (processed via our payment partner, Stitch — please allow up to 10 working days for refund to reflect.)
Cancelling fewer than 5 working days before your start date (before your item has shipped)
If you cancel fewer than 5 working days before your rental start date, and before your item has shipped, you may:
- Reschedule your rental to a future date, or
- Receive a gift card, minus delivery and cleaning fees
Refunds are not available within this period. Please note that orders are typically dispatched 2 working days before your rental start date — once shipped, the policy below applies.
Cancelling after dispatch or delivery
If your item has already been shipped or delivered, we're unable to offer a refund, reschedule or credit. This is due to costs already incurred, including delivery, dry cleaning and preparation — all garments are professionally cleaned after every rental, whether worn or not. This applies to all cancellations, including (but not limited to) a change of mind, no longer attending, or the event itself being cancelled.
FIT GUARANTEE
If your rental has been delivered and doesn't fit, you must notify us within 12 hours of delivery via WhatsApp on 079 393 4213 or email cole@stylerotate.com. Please note to qualify for the below, the security tag must still be attached. We'll arrange courier collection, and once the item is returned and audited by our operations team, you'll receive a cash refund, less delivery fees. If you notify us after the 12-hour window, we're unable to offer a refund. If the item is returned without the security tag attached or with evidence of tampering or wear, we will be unable to issue you with a refund.
This does not apply to Try-On orders.
Try-On Dress (at-home fitting for future bookings)- Only valid until 31st August 2026
Designed to help you decide on a dress before committing to your event dates.
How it works: select your try-on dates at checkout, just like a standard rental, then try the dress on at home — it's not to be worn to an event.
Important:
- The security tag must remain attached. If it's removed, the full rental fee will apply.
- A try-on does not reserve the dress for future dates. To secure your event date, a separate booking and full payment are required.
- Try-on fees are non-refundable, and no cash refunds will be issued. If you decide to rent, you'll receive a discount code by email, valid for 7 days and redeemable on stylerotate.com only.
Best for: planning ahead and making sure of the perfect fit and style.
Back-Up Dress (for upcoming events)
For when you'd like a second option on hand for your event.
How it works: add a second dress to your order at a discounted rate using code BACKUP26 at checkout. Both dresses must be booked for the same dates. Try both on and choose your final look.
Once you've decided which one you're wearing, return the unworn dress with the tag still attached. No price-difference refund is given if the dress you wear is cheaper than the one you return.
If neither dress fits: If both dresses don't fit, return them both within 12 hours of delivery with the tags still attached. Once received and audited by our operations team, you'll receive a cash refund, less delivery fees.
Important: if the tag is removed from either dress, or both dresses are worn, the full rental fee will apply to the Back-Up Dress, in addition to any other applicable fees.
Best for: peace of mind, with a second option ready for your event.
