How To Try-On At Home

Introducing- at home try-ons. Perfect for deciding ahead of your event or before you book your rental.
Note: Try-ons do not reserve the dress for the date of your event — your event booking must be made separately.

1. Select your dress, size & choose “Try-On”
Make sure “Try-On” is selected under rental length

2. Pick your date & checkout
Only Tuesdays and Wednesdays are available.
The price at checkout is your try-on fee.

3. Try it on at home
Check fit and style — do not wear to an event and keep the security tag attached.

4. Repack for collection
Place it back in the packaging — our courier will collect it the next day.

5. Love it? Book it
Place a new order to secure your dress for your event dates.

What is an At Home Try-On

A try-on is a 1-night rental that lets you test a dress at home before booking it for your event.

How should I care for the dress during my try-on?

To keep things fair for everyone in our community, please take care when trying on your dress. Ensure you are freshly showered before trying on, and avoid wearing heavy perfume, makeup or fake tan. Unlike full rentals, try-on orders are for try-on only and not wear, so if your dress is returned requiring cleaning due to makeup, perfume, body odour or product transfer, an additional cleaning fee of R150 will be charged to your account.

Can I wear the dress to an event?

No — try-ons are strictly for fitting purposes only. If you wish to wear the dress, please select the 4, 8 or 16 day rental periods. Please note any try-on orders that require additional cleaning after the try-on order will require the renter to pay an additional amount of R150 for cleaning.

How do I book a try-on?

Select your dress, choose your size, select “Try-On” under rental length, pick a Tuesday or Wednesday, and checkout as normal.

Why can I only choose certain dates?

Try-ons are only available for Tuesday delivery and Wednesday collection, so only those dates will appear.

Does a try-on reserve the dress for my event?

No — try-ons do not hold or reserve stock. You’ll need to place a separate booking for your event dates.

What am I paying at checkout?

The price shown at checkout is the try-on fee only.

Is the try-on refundable?

No — try-on bookings are non-refundable, even if you decide not to rent the dress. However, customers will be sent a discount code after their try-on for the value of the try-on for that dress (excl. Shipping) to use on a full rental if they book within 7 days.

When will the dress be collected?

Your dress will be collected by courier the next day.

What if the dress doesn’t fit?

That’s exactly what the try-on is for — you can then choose a different size or style for your actual booking.

Can I remove the security tag?

No — the security tag must remain attached at all times.

Should I book a try-on or a back-up dress?

At Home Try-On: If your event is in the future and you want to plan ahead
Back-Up Dress: If your event is soon and you want two options ready

    Try-on garments are strictly for fit and style purposes only and may not be worn to events or outside the home.

  • Security Tag

    All items must be returned with the security tag attached.

    If the tag is removed or tampered with, the full rental fee will be charged.

    Try-on bookings are non-refundable, regardless of whether you proceed with a full rental.

  • No Reservation of Dates

    A try-on does not reserve the dress for your event.
    To secure your dates, a separate booking and full payment is required.
