1. Plan Ahead (but Last-Minute Girls, You’ve Still Got Options)

With dress rental in Cape Town, timing is everything. You can book your rental up to three months in advance – ideal if you have an event-heavy season coming up or just like being that level of organised.

But if you’re more of a "help-I-need-a-dress-by-the-weekend" type, you can still place a last-minute order as long as it’s by 1 PM at least two weekdays before your event. Please note: We do not offer weekend deliveries, so ensure your event isn't scheduled on a Sunday.

Pro Tip: Always book delivery two days in advance of your event, especially if you won’t be trying on the items beforehand. That way, you have time to sort out any last-minute issues (and do a twirl test, of course).

2. Know Your Rental Duration (and What to Do If You Need Extra Time)

The standard rental period is four days, which is perfect for weekend events. For example, if your event is on a Saturday, your delivery will typically arrive on Thursday, and you’ll return it on Monday or Tuesday. Simple.

What if you need more time? Style Rotate does offer extended rentals, including weekend and two-week options. Simply refer to the specific product page or contact our team directly to arrange it. Whether you’re jetting off to a destination wedding or need a second event-day in the same outfit, we’ve got you.

3. Walk Right In, No Appointment Needed

We’ve made some changes to make things even easier for you – no more fit appointments, no more try-on fees.

From Thursday to Saturday, you’re welcome to drop by our Cape Town showroom and browse at your leisure. Think of it like shopping in your favourite boutique, but better (because you don’t have to commit to a closet full of once-worn dresses).

Our stylists will be on hand to offer guidance, explain the rental process and help you find your dream look, but keep in mind, this is a more relaxed, open browsing experience rather than a private fitting. It’s perfect for getting inspired, feeling the fabrics and seeing the collection in real life.

Showroom Hours:

• Thursday: 10:00–18:00

• Saturday: 10:00–15:00

Important to note: Items are not reserved for try-on. So, if you fall in love with a dress, secure it by booking it online straight away – payment confirms your booking.

Your order will be prepped, steamed, and waiting for you on your rental start date. This option gives you peace of mind and flexibility – you’ll know the dress is secured, and you still get the chance to try it before the big day.

4. Fit Guarantee = Peace of Mind

Ordering online and worried it won’t fit? Totally valid. That’s where the Style Rotate fit guarantee comes in.

If your rental arrives and doesn’t fit, you’ve got 4 hours from delivery to let us know (either via WhatsApp or email). We’ll work with you to arrange a replacement or offer a refund/gift card if needed.

5. Delivery or Collection – It’s Up to You

Whether you want the whole showroom experience or prefer your dress delivered to your door, it’s totally up to you.

Courier Delivery

Style Rotate will ship your rental to your door, neatly packed and ready to wear with:

• A branded garment bag
  
• A hanger
  
• Your pre-booked return courier info

Once you’ve worn it (and nailed your Instagram carousel), simply repackage it in its original packaging and hand it over to the courier. Dry cleaning is included, so there’s no post-party stress.

Showroom Collection

Prefer to pick up in person? You can collect your rental from the Cape Town showroom. This option is great if you're already in the city and want that in-person handover. Plus, it’s a good excuse to pop by and swoon over the whole collection.

Your rental will be prepped and waiting for you at our studio on your rental start date. No appointment needed – just walk in, try on and go!

Minor Damage? Don’t Stress

Accidents happen. Whether it's a lost button or an overexcited heel snag, every rental includes snag and spill insurance for minor damage.

However, if the dress is returned in a seriously damaged or stained condition that cannot be repaired, you may be liable for the full replacement value. So maybe skip the red wine juggling act this time 😉
